Henry Butcher Penang recently played host to 18 members of Institute of Estate Agents  from Singapore who visited Penang Island. The property tour was part of the My 1 Malaysia Property program, formerly known as PI2H. The tour was sponsored by United Overseas Bank Malaysia with the support of Invest Penang and The Expat Group.

The visitors were taken to numerously property project sites as well as completed properties. Apart from the property visits, the guests were also taken on a tour to visit some heritage houses located at the heart of George Town.

Dato’ Lee Kah Choon of Invest Penang – a think tank of the Penang state government , gave the guests a comprehensive briefing on the investment opportunities available to foreigners.  Mr Andy Davison, Managing Director of The Expat Group was also in Penang to give an insightful knowledge to the guests on Malaysia My 2nd Home Program.

Throughout the four days, the guests were taken to sample some of the finest food Penang has to offer.  Our Singaporean friends were impressed with the professionalism and hospitality of the hosts, and upon their return to the republic, will make plans to set up a unit to specifically look at property investment opportunities in Penang.
